iPhone 3.0 release time?

Like many others I am waiting for the release of the iPhone 3.0 update. The update is due June 17 and Apple headquarters are in California so my bet is it will become available at midnight Pacific Time. I hope this is true as I am hitting the "check for update" button every fifteen minutes or so.

Steve Austin in The Expendables with Mickey Rourke, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren and Jet Li!

If Austin wants to be an action star, here is his chance. No affiliation (push) from the WWE and some of greatest names in action film history star along with him in The Expendables due out sometime next year. Stallone directs (and we know he can tell a good story, Rocky) and stars with Schwarzenegger.

As far as I know this is the first time Stallone and Schwarzenegger have appeared on the big screen together and it should get huge publicity. They opened a restaurant together (planet Hollywood) but never filmed a movie. Austin will probably get buried in the hype and have to really steal the show in a scene or two to get any attention.

Interesting to note that both have appeared onscreen with wrestlers before. Stallone and Hulk Hogan in Rocky III, Schwarzenegger and Jesse Ventura in Predator

Jim Ross on Mike Adamle GM

On Mike Adamle becoming the new Raw GM: The uproar regarding Mike Adamle being named as the new G.M. of Monday Night Raw seems a little like overkill to me. Firstly, I am not sure how prominate a role the Raw G.M. will have going forward. Does any one as of today? The object of any creative endeavor should be to establish wrestling stars and all those that are involved in the process should focus on that particular matter. Secondly, Adamle has yet to have one complete Raw episode under his belt but he has apparently already been deemed a disaster by many fans and some pundits. It would seem reasonable, unless some one has a crystal ball, that one would allow Mike a few weeks to settle into his role and to see what individuality and entertainment content Adamle can bring to the game. Personally, I think it wold be easier for a newcomer like Adamle to successfully pull off the General Manager role easier than doing play by play.

---my view--- In the past WWE has always placed a "heel" in the position of General Manager. This time they found a guy that everyone already hates and want to see fail. No matter if you hate the character or the guy himself, you will turn in to see who will kick his ass. This is a good move by WWE and it lets Adamle do what we know he can do (read scripts). We all have found out in the last few weeks that he can not call a match. He does not have the timing or know the terminology to do play by play.

Like Jim Ross says, maybe given enough time in his new role he will show us all something.

Freddie Prinze, Jr. Joins WWE Creative Team

Freddie Prinze, Jr. has joined the creative team at WWE. I hear the USA network is already touting it as a boon to them but from what I have heard he is if anything a "mascot" and will be working with the Smackdown team, which of course is not on the USA network.

Vince got a little press by hiring him but that will be short lived. If Freddie has any lasting influence on the mainstream press they better get him in front of the camera. Even better, get his wife on television. What else is Sarah Michelle Gellar doing now. Sarah vs. Mickie James for the Women's Championship anyone?
